Lion's Mane

Unique for its cascading white spines rather than traditional gills. It offers a sweet, seafood-like flavor and a meaty, stringy texture that makes it a prime plant-based alternative to crab or lobster.

Mushroom Varieties & Identification

Deepen your connection with the fungi kingdom by learning the signature characteristics of our farm-grown gourmet varieties. From bold umami notes to delicate aromas, every mushroom has a story and a best use.

Blue Oyster

Recognized by their distinctive shelf-like caps and short stems. Oysters are delicate and slightly savory with a mild anise aroma. Their tender texture is perfect for quick sautés, soups, and roasting.

Chestnut

Chestnut mushrooms grow in tight clusters with warm brown caps and delicate, frilled gills. They hold their shape beautifully when cooked, offering a pleasant bite and a rich, nutty flavor. They’re perfect for sautés, grain bowls, and hearty, rustic dishes where you want both texture and depth.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I store my fresh mushrooms?

Keep them in a paper bag in the main compartment of your refrigerator. Avoid airtight plastic, as mushrooms need to breathe to stay fresh. Proper storage helps maintain their firm texture and delicate flavors for longer.

What is the average shelf life of gourmet mushrooms?

Most varieties like Oyster and Lion's Mane stay in peak condition for 5–7 days when refrigerated. For the most vibrant flavor and artisanal quality, we recommend enjoying them within 3 days of arrival.

Do I need to wash them before cooking?

No need to soak! Our mushrooms are grown indoors in a sanitized environment. Simply wipe away any substrate with a damp cloth or soft brush before slicing. Excessive water can make mushrooms soggy during cooking.

How do you ensure the safety of your mushrooms?

Safety and transparency are core to our farm values. We cultivate every variety on strictly monitored, organic-based substrates in a controlled indoor facility to ensure every harvest is healthy, consistent, and safe for your table.

Can I eat these mushrooms raw?

While some are edible raw, we always suggest cooking them. Heat breaks down the chitin in the cell walls, making the rich nutrients and minerals much more bioavailable while unlocking deep umami flavors.
